APRICOT BARS | |
1/2 lb. butter 1/4 c. sugar 4 egg yolks 2 c. flour 2 cans Solo apricot filling 4 egg whites 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. ground nuts Cream butter and sugar, then add beaten egg yolks and gradually add the flour. Spread on greased 18 x 13 inch jelly roll pan. Bake 15 minutes at 300 degrees. Let cool slightly and then spread 2 cans of filling on baked dough. Beat egg whites, sugar, and vanilla until stiff. Spread on top of filling. Sprinkle with the ground nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. |
