1 c. flour
1 c. cornmeal
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. sweet milk
1 med. onion, chopped

Mix all ingredients slightly. Beat egg in milk. Add to dry ingredients; mix well. Add onion. Mix together and drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil. Deep fry until golden brown.
