GRANDMA MARTIN'S HOTDISH 
1 c. raw rice
1 lb. ground beef
1 chopped onion (small)
1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
1 c. grated carrot
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
4 c. milk

Combine all ingredients except milk. Place mixture in 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour milk over top of mixture. Chill covered overnight. Bake covered at 300 degrees for 2 hours. Uncover for last 15 minutes.

SAUCE:

1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. milk

Combine all ingredients and heat. Serve sauce over hotdish.
