SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE | |
1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks) 1/2 c. shortening 3 c. sugar 5 eggs 3 c. cake flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. milk 1 c. sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. lemon extract Cream butter, shortening and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs (one at a time), beating well after each. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately to creamed mixture with milk and sour cream combination. Add vanilla and lemon extract. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. |
