TACO PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning mix
3/4 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
1 (8 oz.) jar taco sauce, divided
1 9-inch baked pastry crust
2 c. (8 oz.) cheddar cheese, shredded
1 c. crushed corn chips
Shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes

Brown meat and onion. Drain. Add taco seasoning and water, stirring well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Combine refried beans and 1/2 cup taco sauce.

Spoon half of bean mixture into bottom of pastry crust. Top with half of meat mixture, half of cheese and all of corn chips. Repeat layers with remaining bean mixture, meat and cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Top with lettuce and tomatoes. Serve with remaining taco sauce. Serves 6.
