HELEN'S SLOPPY JOES 
3 lbs. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. chopped celery
2 (15 oz.) cans Hunts tomato sauce
1/2 c. catsup
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. prepared yellow mustard
1 to 2 tbsp. light brown sugar
20 buns or more

Cook beef in large kettle or dutch oven until it loses redness. Drain off the fat. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1 1/2 cups chopped onion, 1/2 cup chopped green pepper, 1/2 cup chopped celery. Cook stirring for 5 minutes to soften vegetables. Stir in tomato sauce, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar. Cook until thick. Can be frozen.
