SOUR CREAM APPLE KUCHEN 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 apple, shredded
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 c. dairy sour cream

Sift flour with 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Reserve 2 tbsp. of nuts and stir remaining nuts and shredded apple into flour mixture. Blend together egg, milk and melted shortening. Stir into flour mixture until well blended. Turn into greased 9 inch round pan. Spoon sour cream over top. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup sugar over sour cream. Top with reserved nuts. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
