STUFFED DATE DROPS 
12 pecan halves
24 pitted whole dates
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
1 egg yolk
1/3 c. dairy sour cream

Cut pecan halves lengthwise. Stuff dates with nuts. In small bowl combine flour, baking powder and soda. In mixer bowl beat brown sugar and shortening until combined. Add egg yolk; beat well. Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately, beating well. Stir in filled dates.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoon (1 date per cookie) onto greased baking sheet. Bake 7 to 9 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool, frost with Golden Frosting.

GOLDEN FROSTING:

In a medium saucepan heat 2 tablespoons butter over medium-low heat about 10 minutes or until light brown. Gradually stir in 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar. Gradually stir in enough milk to make of spreading consistency.
