DARK SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. dark corn syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. pecans
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

Combine eggs, corn syrup, vanilla, sugar, and butter; blend thoroughly. Stir in 1/2 cup of pecans. Pour into pie shell. Add remaining pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until firm.
