4 eggs
1 1/2 c. pecans, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 c. white sugar
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil sugar and syrup together for 2 to 3 minutes. Beat eggs, not too stiffly and slowly pour the hot syrup into the eggs. Stirring. Add vanilla, butter and nuts. Turn into unbaked pie shell and bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until set. Decorate with whole pecan halves.
