GROUND BEEF AND MUSHROOMS | |
2 tbsp. shortening or salad oil 1 lb. ground beef 2/3 c. chopped onion 1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. chopped parsley 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/2 c. water or milk Heat shortening or salad oil in skillet. Add ground beef and chopped onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is brown. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer slowly for 10 minutes. Serve over smashed potatoes or baked. |
