ROYAL PEANUT BRITTLE 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. whole mixed nuts

Combine sugars, syrup, salt, water, and butter. Stir over moderate heat until sugar is dissolved. Increase heat and cook to hard cracker stage (286 degrees). Arrange nuts in greased 9 x 9 pan and pour syrup over nuts. When brittle is cool, break into pieces.
