3/4 c. butter 3 c. sifted flour 2/3 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. sugar (take out 3 tbsp.) 16 peach halves 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3 egg yolks 1 1/2 c. sour cream Work butter, flour, baking powder, salt and 3 tablespoons of the sugar together until mixture is like cornmeal. Pile into a 9 x 13 inch ungreased pan and pat even layer over bottom and half-way up sides of pan. Place peach halves (cut side up) over pastry. Sprinkle with mixture of cinnamon and remaining sugar over peaches. Bake 20 minutes. Now MIX egg yolks and sour cream together, pour over Kuchen and bake 35 minutes longer at 400 degrees or 375 degrees. (Depending on how hot your oven bakes). |
