GERMAN GREEN BEANS 
6 slices bacon, diced
1/3 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
2 (16 oz.) cans green beans, drained

Fry bacon until crispy. Drain and reserve 2 tablespoons bacon drippings. To the reserved drippings, fry the onion. Saute until tender and add beans, vinegar, and sugar. Heat thoroughly and serve hot.
