GERMAN GREEN BEANS 
2 cans French cut green beans
1 med. onion, cut in rings
8 strips bacon
1/2 c. slivered almonds
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. vinegar

Drain the beans and put in 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Place separate onion rings on top. Fry bacon and save drippings. Cut strips into quarters and lay over onions. Sprinkle almonds over bacon. Add sugar and vinegar to bacon drippings and heat. Pour over casserole. Marinate overnight in refrigerator. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
