GERMAN SWEET AND SOUR GREEN
BEANS
 
2 strips bacon
1 c. minced onions
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. green bean liquid
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 qt. drained green beans

Brown bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and saute onion in bacon drippings until yellow. Stir in flour. Add liquids and seasonings. Bring to a boil, stirring until thickened. Add beans, heat through and sprinkle with crushed bacon bits.
