FRIED HALF PIES 
CRUST:

2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Wesson oil
1/2 c. milk

Mix flour and salt. Pour oil and milk into one measuring cup (but don't stir); add all at once to flour. Stir until mixed. Shape into balls. Roll dough 1/8 inch thick (about size of saucer). Put filling on one side, fold over and seal edges with fork dipped in flour. Prick top with fork several times. Fry in hot oil until brown, turn, fry other side. Drain on paper towels.

APPLE FILLING:

1 package dried apples cooked down well. Add sugar and cinnamon to taste. About 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar and about 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Also dried peaches, also canned pie fillings. (Cherry, blueberry, lemon, etc.)
