1 c. butter 1 3/4 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 3 c. flour 4 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 can cherry, apple, blueberry or apricot pie filling Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla, baking powder and flour. Put 2/3 of batter in pan. Spread over this pie filling, then add remaining dough on top, drop by teaspoon. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar icing while still warm. Use a 9 x 13 inch pan or jelly roll pan. |
