SUGAR - GLAZED WALNUTS
1/2 c. (1/4 lb.) butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 lb. walnuts (or pecans), about 4 c.

In 1 1/2 quart casserole, place butter. Microwave at high 1 minute, or until melted. Stir in brown sugar and cinnamon. Microwave at high 2 minutes. Mix well to combine butter and sugar.

Add nuts and mix to coat. Microwave at high 3 to 5 minutes. Spread out onto wax paper and cool slightly. Serve warm or cold. Cool the nuts on wax paper. Be careful as it gets very hot.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

Was looking for candied walnuts and tried this recipe. Although the recipe wasn't what I was looking for, it has become a hit in the family. Now I'm making this recipe all the time. It's easy and tastes great. You can use these walnuts as a snack, in salads, added to pancakes or cookies. Unlimited uses and so easy to make.
