GRAHAM CREAM PIE 
CRUMB CRUST:

20 squares Nabisco graham crackers
1/2 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1/4 c. sugar

Roll crackers to fine crumbs. Pour crumbs into 9-inch pie plate and add butter and sugar. Blend well. Press firmly to make an even layer of crumbs on bottom and sides of plate.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Cool.

FILLING:

2 c. scalded milk
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla

Scald milk in top of double boiler. Blend sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Stir into scalded milk slowly. Cook over hot water until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Cover and cook 10 minutes. Beat egg yolks; blend a little hot mixture into beaten egg yolks. Return to remaining hot mixture. Cook 2 minutes stirring constantly. Cool and add vanilla. Pour into crust and top with meringue using the 3 egg whites.

I am looking for a pie recipe that was on the side of the box probably 70 years ago!! It was a pudding filling with meringue. I am hoping this one is the one I am looking for! It was my favorite as a child.
