SHORTBREAD 
1 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Sift together the dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar and gradually add sifted ingredients. Mix well and roll out 1/3 inch thick. Cut into shapes; prick with fork and bake on cookie sheets for 20-25 minutes at 325 degrees.
