CARAMEL BROWNIES 
1 c. flour, unsifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter, melted
2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Grease and flour a 9"x13" baking pan. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Melt butter. Add brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. With mixer set on high speed, beat for 2 minutes. Add dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Stir in nuts. Spread into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. When cool, cut into squares.
