STEW FOR SLOW - COOKER | |
2-3 carrots, sliced 1 1/2 c. raw sliced onion or more 2 c. chopped celery or corn niblets 2 c. raw, diced potatoes 1 c. chopped green pepper 2 lbs. stew meat, cubed 1 clove garlic, sliced 1/2 tsp. tarragon 1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper 1 tsp. salt 2 sm. bay leaves 2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes Put raw vegetables and meat in cooker in order given. Mix seasonings and bay leaves; sprinkle over stew. Pour tomatoes over all. Cover and cook on low heat 18-20 hours; high heat 9-10 hours. |
