EASY CHERRY PUDDING 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
16 oz. can red sour pitted cherries, undrained

Melt butter in a 9 inch square pan. Combine 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk; mix until well blended. Pour over melted butter; do not stir. Pour undrained cherries over batter; do not stir. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup sugar over cherries; do not stir. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven 1 hour.
