SPAGHETTI SAUCE & SAUSAGE | |
2 lbs. ground beef chuck 2 lbs. mild Italian sausage 2 (48 oz.) jars spaghetti sauce 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce with tomato bits 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce Salt, pepper, garlic salt to taste 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. Italian seasonings 3 lbs. spaghetti Cook ground beef in a large saucepan with salt, pepper and garlic salt. Add spaghetti sauce, tomato bits and tomato sauce, sugar and Italian seasoning. Cut sausage into 2 inch pieces and add to sauce. Simmer about 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Skim fat as it accumulates. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Remove sausage from sauce. Ladle sauce on individual servings of cooked spaghetti and add portions of sausage. Serves 25. |
