BUTTERSCOTCH APPLE PECAN COBBLER | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels 1/4 c. packed brown sugar 1/4 c. flour 2 1/2 lb. tart apples, peeled and diced 1/2 tsp. cinnamon TOPPING: 1/2 c. flour 4 tbsp. butter 3/4 c. old fashioned oats (uncooked) 1/4 c. packed brown sugar 1 c. chopped pecans Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, combine butterscotch morsels, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Set aside. Place apples in a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle morsel mixture over apples. Bake for 20 minutes. For topping, combine the flour and brown sugar. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Stir in pecans and oats. Sprinkle over apple mixture. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes longer or until the apples are tender. Cool slightly. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. |
