FAYE'S PECAN COBBLER | |
1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted 1 cup pecan pieces (York) 3/4 cup whole milk 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed 1 1/2 cups hot water Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray baking spray in a 9x13-inch baking pan, then pour melted butter into the pan and sprinkle with chopped pecans. In a large bowl whisk together milk, vanilla and sugar. Add in flour, baking powder and salt and whisk until just combined. Spoon batter over the butter and pecans, being careful to not mix the butter in. Sprinkle brown sugar over the batter. Gently pour hot water over the batter and sugar. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Submitted by: Faye Smith |
