1 1/2 c. rolled oats 1/2 c. sifted flour 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. unsalted butter 1 1/2 tbsp. maple syrup 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 2 baking sheets set aside. In medium bowl mix first 5 ingredients; set aside. In small saucepan or skillet melt butter over moderate heat. Add butter, maple syrup and vanilla to dry ingredients, mix well. Drop dough by tablespoons onto baking sheets, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart, pat each cookie down lightly to form 1/2 inch thick rounds. Bake for 8 minutes or until light brown. Remove cookies and let cool for 2 minutes. |
