BARBEQUED BEEF 
3 lbs. ground round steak or ground chuck
1 lg. bell pepper, chopped in fairly sm. pieces
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. dry mustard
1 sm. onion, chopped fine
1 1/2 sm. bottles ketchup
3 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. water

Brown meat and onion. Drain grease. Add remaining ingredients and simmer, slightly covered, for 1 1/2 hours. If mixture appears to be drying out, add a little more water. Serve on heated small hamburger buns. Makes approximately 20 small sandwiches. (I usually lightly butter both sides of bun.)
