CHEWY CAKE 
1 box brown sugar
1/4 lb. butter
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans or coconut
3 eggs

Heat sugar and butter over low heat. Cool. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Mix in flour and vanilla. Stir in pecans and pour into 2 (8 inch) pans which have been greased and floured. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and cut.
