CINCINNATI CHILI
1 quart (4 cups) water
2 lb. ground beef
2 onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
5 whole allspice
3 tbsp. (or more) chili powder
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 oz. baking chocolate

Serving Suggestions:

One way: chili
Two way: spaghetti
Three way: finely grated American cheese
Four way: chopped white onions
Five way: kidney beans
On the side: oyster crackers

Boil water and raw ground beef slowly for 30 minutes (don’t brown ground beef ahead of time - Crumble it into small bits and boil it). Add other ingredients and cook over low heat for at least 1 hour. (I think the chocolate is the secret to the special flavor!) Stir often.

Can be served in a variety of ways. Add top with finely grated American cheese, chopped onions, and/or kidney beans. Serve over Coney hot dog buns or over cooked spaghetti. Oyster crackers on the side.

Serve. Enjoy!
