SNOW BALLS 
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift in flour and salt. Mix thoroughly. Stir in nuts and chocolate bits. Refrigerate dough for a few hours before shaping balls. Shape in 1 inch balls and bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Cool slightly. Roll in confectioner sugar. Yields 60-70 cookies.
