12 saltines, rolled fine
12 dates, chopped
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. water
3 egg whites, beaten until stiff

Fold all ingredients into beaten whites until well mixed. Place mixture in greased (no butter) 9 inch pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
