2 to 3 bananas
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. buttermilk or sour milk

Beat shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla together. Add sifted flour mixture and bananas alternating. Add 1/4 cup buttermilk and bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
