Fried Corn Meal Mush

 Kenspice (Washington) says:
Mom would make variations of this almost every day. She would sometimes use half corn meal and half oatmeal and add berries or dried fruit. Served with bacon and maple or brown sugar syrup. Just cannot be beat.

 Fred Orcutt (Illinois) says:
My father would cook a ham bone in the water first. Then put the finished mush in a loaf pan to set before removing the loaf and freezing it. A great breakfast or other meal when sliced, fried and served with syrup.
