1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar gradually. Add the well beaten eggs. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Add the flavoring. Cool dough overnight and roll as thin as possible. Cut with cookie cutter, bake 8 to 10 minutes depending on thickness of cookie. Cookie cutter, Grandma V has the best.
