A SIMPLE CURRY SAUCE
This is excellent for dressing up leftovers or for using when making casseroles.

1 tbsp. curry powder
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup whole milk or coconut milk

Rub together butter and flour until mixed. Stir in curry powder. Melt this slowly in milk, stirring until dissolved to avoid lumps. (If lumps happen, process in a blender until smooth).

Use this very basic and easy to prepare sauce to heat cooked and cleaned shrimp, lobster or crab meat (cooked - both imitation and real) or chicken.

Taste and add salt and pepper, as needed (the full amount of the salt may not be required).

Lovely, will be making this very often. Added chicken stock cube, thyme, parsley, coriander leaf.

Better to make a proper roux as opposed to mixing the flour and butter together. I substituted chicken stock for the milk and also added a bit of turmeric, ground mustard, garam masala and kashmiri chili powder. Just a very small amount of the latter 3!

Looks/tastes great.

I am amazed at how good this is. All I did was brown some chicken in coconut oil, add frozen peas, poured this mixture over, and to top if off added a little bit of Franks cause I wanted more heat. So delicious and easy.

Deliciously simple. I used coconut oil and butter and tossed all the ingredients in the blender. Great over my tofu and potato dish. I will definitely make this again.

I''be been looking for a simple curry recipe for years, so I was excited to find this recipe. It's the closest thing I've tasted to China Lily canned curry sauce that' went off the off the market about 10 years ago.

I added some turmeric and a bit of cayenne pepper. I'll probably spice it up a bit more next time. I did find it a bit rich so I'll try substituting the butter with coconut oil as others have suggested. Great recipe and so easy.

Amazing! I used coconut oil instead of butter, coconut milk (drinkable one) and cornflour instead of normal flour. This time I used jalfrezi powder but I think a Thai paste would be even better!! It's amazing anyway, I added a pinch of stevia and it was lovely over my vegetable rice, thank you!

I used no salt and used skim milk. I poured it over baked chicken breast, tomatoes fresh from the garden and pasta. A little garlic. It turned out yummy.

You can use flax seed powder to replace both butter and flour, makes it healthier avoiding animal products
