CHEESE APPETIZERS | |
Cream 1/2 pound butter until fluffy. Add 1 pound grated sharp New York state cheese (Cracker Barrel extra sharp). Add: 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper About 3 1/2 c. sifted flour (It will be quite stiff.) Roll and cut in small rounds (with biscuit cutter). Brush top with slightly beaten egg white (done with fork) and apply with pastry brush. Top with pecan half and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until slightly browned on top. I don't roll mine but make them into little balls and mash with fork. I don't brush with egg white, I put pecans on each. |
