GINGER PUFFS 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
3 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
4 tbsp. molasses

Cream together shortening, egg, sugar, and molasses. Sift together flour, spices, salt, and soda, then mix with shortening, egg, sugar, and molasses. Roll into balls the size of an olive. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Do not flatten balls.
