HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
2 1/2 lb. beef chuck 2 tsp. salt Pepper 2 onions, chopped 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes 1/4 tsp. allspice 1/4 tsp. cloves 1 bay leaf 1/2 c. beef stock 6 sm. potatoes, pared Cut beef into strips or cubes and brown. Add remaining ingredients except potatoes. Cover closely and simmer about 3 hours or until meat is tender. Remove bay leaf. Add potatoes, cook until tender. Serve over egg - type noodles. |
