HOME-MADE BISCUIT MIX 
Mix together thoroughly:

8 c. flour (all-purpose)
1/3 c. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
8 tsp. sugar (optional)

With a pastry blender, cut in one cup vegetable shortening to a very fine consistency.

This recipe can be used in place of the commercial mix wherever an all-purpose biscuit mix is called for. Unless it is be used quickly, keep it refrigerated.
