HOMEMADE BISCUITS FROM READY MIX 
2 c. mix
1/2 c. milk

Put the mix in a bowl. Pour in milk and stir with a fork (not a spoon) until the batter forms and makes a sort of ball. You can use buttermilk, but if you do, add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.

Turn dough out onto a floured cloth or board, and knead 6-8 times. Roll out biscuits and bake at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes. Butter biscuits in kitchen while hot, before serving.

These freeze well: Bake 5-6 minutes, cool, put pan in deep freeze until frozen. Then pack in freezer bags and freeze. When ready to serve, take from freezer, bake 5-6 minutes. This is nice when you have guests. No mess of making biscuits.
