GINGERSNAP COOKIES | |
3/4 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. molasses 1 egg 2 1/4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and egg; beat well. Sift flour. Combine dry ingredients and mix. Roll dough into 1 inch balls, roll in granulated sugar. Place on cookie sheet and press to 1/2 inch thickness. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen cookies. |
