COOKIE - JAR GINGERSNAPS 
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. molasses
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
Granulated sugar

Cream shortening until soft. Add sugar, creaming after each addition until mixture is fluffy. Beat in egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients and blend well. Form teaspoon of dough into small balls. Roll in sugar and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15- 20 minutes. Yields about 4 dozen cookies.
