1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. butter
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt (opt.)
2 tsp. baking soda
1 (12 oz.) bag Nestle's chocolate chips

Cream first 4 ingredients and add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, salt and soda and 1 (12 oz.) bag of chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
