LEMON PIE SQUARES 
CRUMBS:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
4 oz. ground toasted almonds
1 c. flour
Dash cinnamon

To make crumbs; blend butter, sugar, almonds and flour. Reserve 1/4 cup crumbs, press remaining crumbs into bottom of well greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes until slightly golden brown. Spread rest on crumbs on cookie sheet, bake until brown.

FILLING:

2 lg. eggs
1 c. 10x sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. grated lemon rind

Beat eggs until foamy. Blend in sugar, flour and baking powder. Stir in lemon juice and lemon rind. Pour over crumb crust, bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes until firm. Sprinkle crumbs over top during last 5 minutes of baking. Cool completely before cutting into 1 inch squares.
