APPLE PIE | |
1 pie shell 1 (6 oz.) can frozen unsweetened apple juice, thawed 2 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 6 c. sliced apples Prepare pie shell; set aside. In jar with tight fitting lid, shake apple juice, flour, and cinnamon until well blended. Pour into 3 quart saucepan. Cook until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat. Add apples to mixture. Stir until well coated. Spoon into pie shell. Bake in 450 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 35 minutes or until apples are tender (if pie browns to quickly, cover with foil during last 15 minutes of baking). Cool on rack. Makes 8 servings. |
