CARAMEL NUT ACORN COOKIES 
5 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. water
1 lb. caramels
2/3 c. chopped walnuts

Mix first 5 ingredients. Form dough into balls and bring to a point. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

Melt caramels and water in a double boiler. When cookies are cooled, dip in caramel then into chopped nuts.
