BLONDE BROWNIES 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Melt butter, remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Cool. Beat egg into mixture. Sift together dry ingredients and stir into brown sugar mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Spread in well greased 8"x8"x2" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
