ORANGE BREAD 
1 orange (juice & rind)
1 c. chopped dates or raisins
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 beaten egg
Salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. nuts

Squeeze orange and put juice in measuring cup and fill cup with boiling water. Makes 1 large loaf of bread or 2 smaller ones. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or 45 minutes for smaller loaves.
